CONSTRUCTION BEGINS ON NILE + VILLLIERS IN SUNDERLAND.

Work is now underway on Nile + Villiers, a new residential-led development in Sunniside, Sunderland, that will introduce high-quality homes and workspace to this historic part of the city.
Delivered by TOWN and Falcon Fox Construction on behalf of Sunderland City Council, the scheme is a key early move in the city’s Sunniside Place Strategy—a ten-year plan to bring new life, activity, and investment to the area.
The development will provide 75 new homes, alongside 6,000 sq ft of commercial space at street level, aiming to reinstate two streets demolished in the 2000s which were historically home to printers, cabinet makers and textile workers.

Designed with a focus on environmental sustainability, Nile + Villiers will be delivered using modern methods of construction and incorporate renewable energy solutions to reduce environmental impact and long-term energy costs for residents.

Upon completion, 65 of the homes will be acquired by build-to-rent specialist Placefirst, marking its third investment in Sunderland, with the remainder available for sale.
