November 2024 marks a major milestone for the Love Wolverton Regeneration Project as enabling works begin on-site.
TOWN, working in partnership with Milton Keynes City Council and Willmott Dixon, has discharged the pre-commencement planning conditions.
Starting in late November, the enabling works will include upgrading drainage systems and laying the foundations for the development. This follows an intensive period of technical design and design review, with TOWN and MKCC collaborating closely with Willmott Dixon to finalise the scheme’s costs.
As part of the broader regeneration project, TOWN continues to work with Still Green, the cohousing group for over-50s, who will form a new community as part of the Love Wolverton development. Most recently, efforts have focused on refining mechanical and electrical layouts for the homes in their community.
The regeneration project will move into full construction in 2025, with completion anticipated in 2027. Once finished, the scheme will deliver 115 homes, eight shops and the Still Green cohousing community.
