Since mid-2016, TOWN has been acting as partner to U+I in promoting Beeston Park, a major sustainable urban extension in Broadland, north of Norwich.

Having been part of the team that from 2009 assembled the land, prepared a vision and plan for the project and submitted a successful planning application for 3,500 new homes, it has been exciting to be closely involved again as the scheme moves from planning phase and into delivery.

Much of the work undertaken over recent months has been in finalising the section 106 agreement, following the resolution made by Broadland District Council in 2013 to grant outline planning. The section 106 was signed in February 2016 and the formal outline planning permission was issued at the same time.

To mark this significant step closer to commencing delivery of Beeston Park, TOWN has been working with Nat River Design (who previously helped to design TOWN’s own brand) to formulate a new new brand and website for the project. The new website – www.beestonpark.com– was launched earlier this week and will serve as an information portal for anyone wanting to find out more about the development as it progresses.

Meanwhile, TOWN is progressing the Beeston Park Design Code, which will provide detailed guidance to builders on the type and form of development that will be encouraged.

Marketing will shortly commence of the first parcel of development with the aim of building starting in 2017. More information about this will be made available in the coming months and interested developers are encouraged to get in touch.

The vision of Beeston Park as a place that offers a high quality of life with a small environmental footprint remains central to the plans, and we’re looking forward to working with partners over the coming months and years in realising it.
